Despite the fact that around 130,000 music lovers come together at Roskilde Festival for a week, the festival is usually a very peaceful event.
In general, the police only encounter few problems and the festival guests are known to look after each other and take good care of each other.
Anyhow, here are some advice for all of you who attend Roskilde Festival 2025.

Anyhow, here are some advice for all of you who attend Roskilde Festival 2025.
Prior to the festival
If you are young, please agree with your family in advance on when and how often you’ll tell them, that you’re doing alright. Give them a text or a call from time to time, to let them know, that all is well.
Give your family members the phone numbers of your friends, so people can reach you even if your phone runs out of battery.

The festival arranges for people to sell and buy tickets – use the official solutions, instead of buying from people you don’t know.
During the festival
Don’t leave money and valuables behind, when your leave your tent. Every year we see people going to the festival to steal from others. Theft and pickpockets are among the biggest problems on the festival every year. The thieves are in particular interested in tablets, cell phones and cameras. So don’t bring your valuables to the festival – if you do, carry them on you or use a locker. Before you leave for the festival, it might be a good idea to check up on your insurances.
Look after your own valuables as well as your friends tents. If you see anything suspicious, including people sneaking around in your camp, reach out to the festival staff or call the police at +45 1-1-4.
Don’t leave drinks where anyone can tamper with them. Stay away from drugs and drink respectfully. And take care of both your friends and people you don’t know. If anyone has had too much to drink, make sure to help them.
Need help from the police

When on festival, please remember, that the same rules apply as elsewhere in society. So if you are going to have sex with anyone, make sure, that it’s ok for both of you.
This year a new law in Denmark requires full consent from the person, you want to have sex with. So if you are in doubt – take it as a NO!
We urge festival guests to look out for each other. If it seems like someone can’t take care of themselves, or they are uncomfortable in the situation, reach out to them and ask if everything is ok.
If you have been a victim of a sexual assault yourself, report it to the police by calling +45 1-1-4 or reach out to the festival staff, that can help and guide you.
Please take time in your camp to have talk about how you look after each other and respect each others limits.
