Apply for a licence to import or export weapons and ammunition

Apply as an importer of weapons for a licence to import or export weapons, weapon components and/or ammunition, for example in connection with mass importation.

Bulk registration

If you need to register a large volume of weapons, weapon components or ammunition that you want to import into or export out of Denmark, you must fill in the form below. Q&As

If you have a European company you will be able to use your country's electronical identification (eID) to access the form.

If your business does not have MitID or eID, you must send the information that we need to process your application by letter. See contact details.

However, please be aware that the processing time will be considerably longer if you choose to send your application by letter. The reasons are that sending the application by letter increases the risk of errors, that we must spend more time on manually entering your data in the system and that the delivery time for letters is typically up to five days.

An application for permission to import/export weapons is free of charge.
Once you have submitted the online form, you will receive a receipt through Digital Post.

We will endeavour to process your application within one to two weeks. However, case processing times may be longer during peak periods.

If we need any further information for the purpose of your application, we will contact you. Otherwise, you will receive our decision by Digital Post.
